An Exercise to Lose Belly Fat?

turbulence_trainingExercise to lose belly fat is how most people achieve flatter stomachs. However, there is no point achieving a flat, smooth stomach if it only looks good on the outside and does not come with any stomach muscle strengthening.

The outer abdominals are not the only target areas of slim-downs. Core abdominals need attention too.

Exercise to Lose Belly Fat Now

Here are several kinds of exercise to lose belly fat that work on building stronger core muscles around the abdomen. Take a gander at each exercise to lose belly fat.

* Scissor Kicks – You need to lie on the floor for this one. Place hands under the buttocks and keep back pressed to the floor. Raise a leg gradually to around 10 inches and then slowly lower it back down.

Lift the other leg while lowering the other one. A repeat of these steps completes a set. The upper body must remain touching the floor throughout the whole move.

* Tone Torso – Begin with hands and knees on floor. Keep stomach tightly pulled in while extending left arm out to your front. For football fans, try imagining a referee making the first down sign.

Keep this particular arm stretched out while extending right leg toward the back. Switch legs and arms and do everything over again to complete a set. The pelvis should not swing out of position.

* Crunch-less Crunches
– While theoretically straightforward, this exercise to lose belly fat is tough to do. It concerns pulling the bellybutton toward the spine’s direction – a tricky move given that muscles used here are those seldom activated. Start by kneeling or lying down.

Relax body as much as you can and move bellybutton toward the spine using the lower abdominals. Stay in this position for 10 seconds – or longer if you can handle it.

The objective here is to maintain the contraction to a point where you are unaware of it anymore, or you sense other muscles harder at work than the transverse abdominus. When this feeling hits you, release the contraction.

* Butt Burner – An exercise to lose belly fat calling for lying on one’s back. Protect the spine with a towel or mat. Bend knees so both feet are flat on floor and position arms on sides.

Follow up with squeezing buttocks while lifting the pelvis away from floor. The rest of the body should stay straight. Elevate pelvis to an angle of 45 degrees, making a flat, straight ramp of the upper body (from head to knees). Maintain this position for about three to five seconds then slowly return pelvis to floor.

Doing this again constitutes one complete set.

Before hunkering down to a serious exercise to lose belly fat; clear it with a professional first. Perform proper warm-up activities to avoid getting hurt during a workout.
